After a decade apart, a film director (Jean-Louis Trintignant) hopes to win back his ex‑wife by casting her in his adaptation of Chekhov’s “Three Sisters.” While scouting in Bex, he stays in a hotel with three actresses: Julie, the mysterious Cecilia chosen by his producer, and teenage Esther. In the setting tensions rise and the four discover each other.
