In the final act, the tension between Jabari and Meadow comes to a head when Meadow discovers a photo Carmen sent of herself in Jabari’s red hoodie—a relic of a night when Jabari was fixing a rat problem at her place. The image, paired with flirtatious messages, makes Meadow doubt their relationship. Jabari rushes to explain that the hoodie was left behind, that he and Carmen are only friends, but his clumsy attempt at an apology only deepens the rift, and the couple pauses their romance.
Both retreat into their own work: Meadow prepares an art presentation, while Jabari readies the debut of his Mr. Rager comic. Their lives run in parallel, each feeling the emptiness of the other's absence. When Jabari’s sister Ellie visits, she gives him a blunt reminder that love “is the easiest thing in the world when it happens by accident, but it doesn’t get real until you do it on purpose.” She spurs him to act instead of letting pride linger.

Motivated by Ellie’s words, Jabari stages a bold street‑art gesture. He transforms a nearby McDonald’s billboard into a vibrant Mr. Rager mural that doubles as a personal invitation for Meadow to meet him at The Greasy Spoon, the hidden spot they both cherish. Meadow sees the artwork, realizes Jabari’s sincere effort, and heads there by cab while he cycles to the diner. The reunion is immediate and tender; they kiss, affirm their commitment, and resume their relationship.
The film closes with a brief news flash revealing that the dating app Stush, which has loomed over the story, is under investigation for credit‑card fraud—underscoring the movie’s subtle critique of superficial hookup culture. The final frame lingers on a poster of a stylized “ICON” figure that bears a likeness to the late Virgil Abloh, a tribute to the designer and friend of Kid Cudi who helped shape the show’s visual world.
