The Diclonius are mutated humans marked by two horns and a telekinetic “sixth sense,” believed to be destined to destroy humanity. Government labs imprison them, but Lucy, a volatile Diclonius, escapes, killing guards before being shot. She drifts to a beach, where teenagers Kouta and Yuka find her amnesiac, calling her “Nyuu.” They shelter her, unaware that Lucy’s murderous nature still lurks within.
