Set in 19th‑century Louisiana where sugar rivals gold, pirate Lili Scarlet—dubbed the Gambling Queen of the Mississippi—steals Jules Tulane’s sugar crop, assumes his debt and threatens prison. To buy him time she forces his son André into service. André and Lili fall in love, provoking jealous swordsman Hugo, Lili’s former lover, who plans another raid on the Tulane estate. Together they confront Hugo to protect the property.
