A mouse fleeing a cat enlists a sleepy bulldog. When the dog awakens, the mouse hides in a hen’s nest while the cat disguises itself as a hen, even mimicking a chick hatch. The mouse keeps exposing the cat’s hideouts, but after a false lead the dog turns hostile. The mouse paints an apple black, lights a fuse and explosion sends him to mouse heaven.
