In the dizzying vertical landscape of a modern city, Capulina and Viruta make their living far above the ground, working as house-painters on the scaffolding of skyscrapers. Their world is one of suspended ropes and precarious balance, where a typical day involves navigating the physical comedy of heights and the occasional mishap with a paint bucket. They share a bond defined by mutual reliance and a good-natured, if somewhat clumsy, spirit that usually keeps them safe—until an ordinary workday takes a chaotic turn, drawing the unwanted attention of both the law and dangerous men.

As the official premise suggests, the two friends find themselves targeted by “bad guys,” transforming their high-altitude workplace into a zone of peril. An accident involving a spilled bucket and a fleeing suspect places them in the crosshairs of a threat far more serious than gravity. Suddenly, the simple dangers of their trade are eclipsed by a pursuit that forces them to scramble for safety, turning their lives into a frantic escape from menacing figures who are determined to track them down.

There, they encounter a vibrant new cast of characters, including two art students, Diana and Julia, and an Italian professor who opens the doors to a studio filled with creative potential.
