At the dawn of Tokyo’s 20th‑century industrial boom, ancient mysticism clashes with Western modernity. Yasumasa Hirai, an onmyōji of the Tsuchimikado clan summoned from Kyoto, aims to make the city a prosperous, blessed capital. He confronts Yasunori Kato, a rival onmyōji intent on destroying Tokyo. Their supernatural battle decides the metropolis’s future and the empire’s fate.
