Screen adaptation of Mozart’s masterwork, following the notorious libertine Don Giovanni as he pursues woman after woman. When the ghost of Donna Anna’s father, the Commendatore—whom Giovanni has slain—appears, he offers a final chance for repentance. Unrepentant, Giovanni is dragged into the abyss by vengeful spirits. The production combines intense drama, riotous comedy, and Mozart’s magnificent music.
