Carlos Kindermann, a Swiss-Chilean citizen, returns to the Araucania region of Chile after 47 years, revisiting the land he was forced to leave during his childhood. Inheriting 3,000 hectares of valuable territory from his recently deceased father, he is physically and mentally exhausted from his life in Europe. Initially intending to quickly sell the land and move on, Kindermann finds himself at a critical juncture, facing a profound conflict between opposing worldviews and a struggle for his very survival.
