Raúl, played by Mauricio Ochmann, along with his lifelong friends, Eduardo and Santiago, portrayed by Humberto Busto and Alfonso Dosal respectively, had long exemplified the traditional standards of masculinity. However, this solid foundation was irreparably shaken when Santiago bravely chose to reveal his true sexual identity, embracing a part of himself that had long remained hidden.

Initially, Raúl’s reaction was filled with disapproval. He sought to dissuade Santiago from living his new truth, a move that not only strained but ultimately damaged their friendship, creating an insurmountable rift. In the following days, Santiago began to find comfort in a relationship with Julián, a renowned chef. Together, they started dreaming of a new life in Miami, a prospect that stirred feelings of jealousy in Raúl, intensifying the already toxic atmosphere between them until their connection was severed entirely.

Compounding Raúl’s challenges were his own personal troubles at home. Luciana, his wife, discovered his continuous infidelities and sought to divorce him. This series of personal losses forced Raúl to finally confront his deep-rooted beliefs about masculinity, love, and loyalty.

As time passed, Santiago reconsidered his future when he learned of Julián’s polyamorous lifestyle and his unwillingness to commit to a monogamous relationship. This new understanding opened the door for a possible reconciliation between him and Raúl.

Fast forward two years and Raúl still finds himself battling for Luciana’s forgiveness, which remains elusive. Meanwhile, Santiago has found new love with an employee of Eduardo’s, signifying a shift in Raúl’s perceptions as he begins to come to terms with his friend’s sexuality. However, a poignant moment comes when Raúl glimpses his young son playing with a doll, a scenario that may reveal underlying tensions regarding identity and acceptance that could resurface in the future.
