Dina, a teenage housekeeper raised by her grandmother, spends her days dreaming of romance and reading comic‑book love stories while working for a modest family in mid‑1970s Portugal. Naïve and lonely, she is drawn into a plot with Django, a shady criminal who uses her as bait to lure men for robbery. During a botched heist, both shoot the taxi driver, and Dina also fires, then flees, realizing too late the cost of her inexperience amid the nation’s political upheaval.
