Edgar, 67, Germany's top senior comedian, jokes nightly about aging—failed relationships, ungrateful children, waning libido, deteriorating health, and death. Offstage he is lonely, drowning evenings in booze. After 25 years he reunites with his terminally ill ex‑wife Eva; they fall back in love and she joins his German‑Austrian comedy tour.
