Detective Dick Tracy battles the masked crime lord The Spider, also known as The Lame One, and his Spider Ring. The villain uses a flying wing, a sound weapon to demolish San Francisco’s Bay Bridge, and steals an experimental “Speed Plane.” He kidnaps Tracy’s brother Gordon, and Dr. Moloch brain‑operates him, turning Gordon against his sister.
