An ancient tale unfolds in Sivankondamalai where a greedy queen marries the king for power. After years apart, she bears a son and secretly cares for him with her former lover. The king dies when his fort collapses, and soon paranormal activities begin to haunt the surrounding lands.

A Buddhist monk arrives to investigate the hauntings and meditates at Sivankondamalai. He finds himself in a haunted bungalow and faces a threatening ghost. Using ritual, the monk traps the spirits inside a magical box, then faints, alerting the caretaker that the place remains haunted.

In present-day Chennai, Kajal hosts a school reunion and recounts the story of her classmate Kumar. A flashback reveals Valentine’s Day when Kajal slips him a card and Kumar responds with warmth, drawing a teacher’s ire and leading to his dismissal.

Kajal’s father is the financier who claims Mohan’s unpaid truck, triggering a confrontation over debts. The financial tension ties Kajal’s family to Kumar’s circle and sets the stage for later conflict. The stakes rise as money, pride, and loyalty clash.

In a fit of anger, Mohan and Kumar break into the financier’s house, unaware that it is Kajal’s home. Kajal catches Kumar and hands him over to the police, not realizing he is her childhood crush. The incident creates a painful misunderstanding that strains their evolving relationship.

A few months later, Kajal and Kumar marry and start a peaceful life together. However, Sketch Mani’s return as a ghost hints that the past isn’t truly over, announcing that the tale may be only the beginning of their supernatural ordeal. The ending leaves a lingering sense of foreboding.
