In the ending of Darkness of Man, Russell Hatch, an Interpol agent, uncovers the dark truth behind the seemingly innocent Mr. Kim, a shop owner in Los Angeles. It turns out that Kim has been using his local church as a front for his extensive drug operation, manipulating Russell with hidden motives rooted in his love for Esther and her son Jayden. As Russell investigates, he is led to believe that Dae Hyun, the younger son of Kim, is a rival trying to claim territory from the Russians and Koreans fighting over control of the area.
