Jockey Jack owes a debt to a freshly released gangster. When the gangster attacks him backstage with a knife, Jack deflects the blow and the assailant is killed, his body hidden in a double‑bass case. The next day the gangster’s disappearance is revealed to hide a race‑bet ticket worth over a million dollars, launching a frantic chase for the cash.
