Francin runs a small‑town brewery, married to blonde‑haired Maryska, who loves meat and beer. When the strict board arrives to audit the books, Maryska distracts them with a pig‑killing feast she helps prepare, inviting the curmudgeons to sample the pork. Meanwhile Francin worries about securing a permanent contract, and his noisy, garrulous brother Pepin drops in for a visit.
