After a single phrase spoken fifteen years ago shatters her life, Nao, who grew up in the Kogetsuan confectionery where her mother worked as a pastry chef, falls in love with Tsubaki, the heir. When Tsubaki’s father is found murdered, a six‑year‑old Tsubaki testifies against Nao’s mother, who is arrested and later dies, and Nao is expelled.
