Martin, a naive young man from the small town of Mladá Boleslav, goes to Prague to exchange his krona for Deutschemarks so he can travel to Germany. He turns to a local hustler, Robert, who gives him a sharply unfair rate. After discovering the swindle, Martin first plans revenge, then chooses to join Robert's crew instead.
