Abandoned by their father and mourning their mother’s death, nine‑year‑old Pablo and his sister María cling together despite their aunt’s attempts to separate them. Guided by a cross, they embark on a perilous but hopeful quest for a legendary gem that promises true happiness. They dodge a pirate’s deadly hook and are aided by a tipsy, good‑natured captain, bringing them closer to the magic stone.
