The farmer's tale centers on twins born split, one good and one evil. After a liver disease kills them, the farmer separates the bodies and buries the good twin in a cemetery while the bad twin lies in a shallow grave near the house along Cry Baby Lane. The lore warns that anyone who wanders there at night will hear the deceased twin's cries.

Andrew, Carl, and a group of friends decide to hold a séance in the cemetery to contact the alleged good twin. They hope to glean the truth behind the whispers and perhaps calm the restless spirit. The gathering marks the beginning of the night’s terrifying events.

Into Cry Baby Lane they go, where the evil twin seizes Carl and uses his voice to threaten Andrew. The possessed brother acts on the evil twin’s will, escalating the peril. Andrew must confront the danger head-on.

Andrew manages to break free from the evil twin’s control and presses on toward the good twin’s grave. He fights through fear and darkness, determined to uncover the truth and protect his brother. The journey intensifies as the evil presence closes in.

As the root loosens, the evil twin dumps dirt onto the grave, trying to bury Andrew alive. He continues cutting the root, managing to release the good twin from the choking grip of the bad. With a flash of light, the malevolent force vanishes.

The next morning, Andrew awakens outside the grave and finds the good twin's resting place peaceful, marked with flowers. The town returns to normal as the truth about Cry Baby Lane sinks in. The legend shifts from fear to a revelation about the twins.
