The Krumborg family seems perfectly ordinary—so ordinary you can’t be surprised. Two thieves, Boris and Ivan, plot to kidnap Krumme, who wants to learn horseback riding. Mom wants a healthy Christmas; Dad wants the opposite. Krumme’s gift for Yrsa lands under Mrs. Olsen’s bed, caretaker Svendsen tries to “repair” a sink, and Grunk has eaten Christmas decorations.
