At Næsbygaard the owner misses his grandson Martin, who is learning agriculture on a Texas cattle farm. When the shooter falls ill, the stud master must take over and ready the horse for the King’s gallop. Visiting Copenhagen children lift spirits and help foil a poaching plot. After the stud manager is injured and the horse’s race looks lost, Martin returns from Texas just in time.
