Marquinhos, a restless early‑twenties drifter, shares a Copacabana apartment with his petit‑bourgeois parents and older brother. He has no job or studies, filling his days watching TV, playing beach soccer, and nights out with friends. When he meets Irene, a 40‑year‑old woman, they embark on a brief, intoxicating affair that jolts his routine and promises to reshape his life—at least for a while.
