Michel, a Belgian inventor, cares for his paralysed writer father, lives with his Congolese wife and their son, comforting. At 41 he learns he was adopted and was born in Sainte‑Cécile, Quebec. In summer 2000 he goes to Quebec to sell inventions but starts a search for his birth family, meeting Louis Legros, an inventor’s son, changing their lives.
