Brought together by an inheritance of an abandoned Normandy house, four cousins uncover a shared family secret. In 1895 their great‑aunt Adèle, 21, leaves her village for Paris, encountering a city on the brink of modernity, the rise of photography and the birth of Impressionism while searching for her mother. In 2024 the cousins retrace her steps, intertwining the two timelines and forcing them to confront 19th‑century life, forever reshaping their future.
