As a baby, Chihiro suffered from severe eczema, and her parents struggled to find a cure. A colleague of her father suggested water from a mysterious religious group, which miraculously healed her. Following this, her parents became devoted followers of the group. Now in middle school, Chihiro confronts significant changes and challenges in her life as she navigates this unusual upbringing and the influence of her parents’ beliefs.
