This documentary explores the alarming increase in gun violence within Chicago’s segregated communities, even as rates declined in other major US cities. Through dramatic footage and interviews with residents gathered over the last fifteen years, the film examines the historical systems, laws, and policies that contributed to the creation of impoverished neighborhoods struggling with persistent violence. It provides a revealing look into the roots of this complex issue and the challenges faced by those living on the front lines.
