In a bleak stretch of coastal highway where the ocean’s roar competes with the rumble of a loaded van, two military men find themselves bound together by a single, uneasy assignment. Eddie Devane is a seasoned sailor on the brink of civilian life, his nerves already frayed by the weight of unfinished business. Across from him sits Rock Reilly, a hard‑boiled chief petty officer whose reputation for discipline is matched only by his unflinching sense of duty. Their task—escort a prisoner across a hostile landscape—forces them into a partnership that feels as rough as the terrain they must cover.

The third half of the trio is Toni Johnson, a young woman whose reputation precedes her, but whose true character is revealed only in fleeting glances and quiet words.
