Mihika's plan to reach Delhi for her birthday is derailed by a late-night office pull, heavy traffic, and roadblocks from a rally. The delays tighten the schedule and the dream of a quiet celebration slips further away. She must scramble for a new route as the weekend closes in.

At the airport Mihika meets Manu Gupta, a down-to-earth man whose simple demeanor contrasts with her polished cosmopolitan aura. Their initial hostility gives way to a reluctant partnership as they end up on the same low-cost flight toward Delhi.

A technical snag forces the plane to divert to Jaipur, leaving Mihika and Manu stranded far from their intended destination. The detour heightens their sense of uncertainty as they realize their plans are unraveling and contact options are limited.

With the car failing and options dwindling, Mihika and Manu abandon their malfunctioning vehicle and hitch a ride with a local truck driver to a rural eatery. They shelter there overnight, sharing food and conversation while waiting for a repair that seems increasingly unlikely.

The sunrise over the countryside softens Mihika's frustration and opens her to Manu's resilient outlook. A small apology and their easy camaraderie begin to erode their earlier friction, hinting at a new dynamic between them.

They press on by a sequence of improvised transports, first a camel buggy and then a tempo, aiming for the nearest railway station. The makeshift journey rekindles Mihika's determination to salvage her trip.

Mihika buys a First Class ticket, only to find her bag torn and cash scattered. Manu helps her board the train, but their presence draws the wary attention of the stern inspector Pant.

Inspector K. C. Pant confronts the duo, and a tense clash with him and the local Surendra Mishra ends with Mihika and Manu being tossed off the train. They are handed over to local police, plunging them deeper into uncertainty.

The police encounter escalates into a chaotic chase as thieves try to exploit the moment, leaving Mihika and Manu stranded on a rugged stretch of countryside. They press on toward Jhunjunu, seeking shelter and a new plan.

In a seedy hotel Mihika phones Vikram and begs him to fetch her. The cramped town atmosphere and the basement entertainment program set the stage for mounting tension and a drive to move on.

A rowdy program triggers a riot and curfew, complicating their escape. Vikram reaches Jhunjunu with the help of his credentials, joining Mihika and Manu as they begin the journey back toward Delhi.

The escape reaches Chandni Chowk, where Vikram drops Manu off and heads back for Mihika. Mihika shifts from frustration to tempered optimism, recognizing the new balance in their unlikely alliance.

On the ride home Mihika begins to see Manu's resilient spirit and even considers inviting him to her birthday. She learns, however, that he gave her a wrong number, prompting her to search for him and learn more about his life.

Mihika’s search leads to Manu’s home, where she discovers his wife Vibha has been in a coma for two years. His sunny philosophy reveals a quiet sacrifice, as he channels sorrow into bringing joy to others.

Mihika and Vikram are reunited, and their reunion becomes a tempered celebration of patience and connection. The journey leaves Mihika with a deeper appreciation for Manu’s spirit and the quiet burdens carried by those around them.
