The film follows a typical Sunday in Mozambique’s capital, showcasing its main tourist attractions, then shifts to a Lisbon interview probing street perceptions of life in the former African colony—referred to by the government then as a “province.” It intercuts scenes of Lourenço Marques fishermen and a bar waitress, with African folk music and dance underscoring the narration.
