The powerful Menezes family, prominent Mid‑West animal breeders, have long ruled the region’s illegal trade. As the protective system collapses, patriarch Mirão is squeezed by drug traffickers, aggressive authorities and a violent rivalry with his brother Abílio. Mirão’s daughter Elaine falls for the family pilot, becomes pregnant and tries to flee after Abílio’s bribe. The hired killer Brito, tasked with tracking them, is himself caught in a tragic love affair.
