From enslaved laborers to free men, then soldiers, the Black cavalry become legends. In a hostile frontier town they must walk, not ride, and are shunned. Apache leader Victorio’s warriors instead honor them as “Buffalo Soldiers.” Their hunt for Victorio frames a tribute to these overlooked heroes, featuring Danny Glover and Mykelti Williamson.
