This gripping documentary explores the murder trial of Delbert Ward, a farmer living a secluded life, whose world is upended by the suspicious death of his brother, Bill. Filmmakers Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky examine the investigation, which is complicated by Delbert's confession. The film raises questions about whether the confession was coerced and explores various possible motives, ranging from an act of mercy to more disturbing theories surrounding the death.
