Mahmut, a house‑painter, works with two friends and secretly loves Mine but never confesses. While on a job he finds a wallet and returns it to its owner, factory boss Ahmet, who collapses and dies moments later. Ahmet’s will says the person present at his death inherits everything, so Mahmut receives the estate. Ahmet’s nephew then schemes to wrest the inheritance away.
