Beshoot

Based on a true story, this film follows two soldiers from the ‘Donbas’ Volunteer Battalion who find themselves trapped in Ilovaysk. After the Russian army enters Ukraine and shells the surrounded Ukrainian divisions during a failed attempt at a safe passage, the soldiers must rely on the local population to survive. They ultimately fight their way through the front line, escaping to reach the liberated territory. The film features Taras Kostanchuk, portraying himself as the ‘Beshoot’ commander and a real-life participant in the battle, along with other volunteers who experienced the events firsthand.
