A murdered Asian woman is found floating in Stockholm’s archipelago, suspected of being a prostitute, as the city mourns. Meanwhile, a series of burglaries plagues an island outside Stockholm. The pattern deepens when a reclusive retiree is found dead in his garden, prompting Beck to pursue two investigations that point toward the same culprit, in a race.
