This wickedly fun film blends performance art with a touch of mockumentary humor as it explores the challenges faced by three Icelandic musicians. Álfrún, Saga, and Hrefna, members of The Post Performance Blues Band, are nearing 40 and struggling to balance motherhood with their artistic ambitions while playing to small audiences and receiving meager payment. They set a one-year deadline to achieve pop stardom or disband, leading to a humorous and relatable story about talented women navigating ageism and the pressures of the music industry. The film is a revealing look at resilience, sisterhood, and the pursuit of dreams.
