Bad Hurt

On a cold December evening in 1999, Todd navigates his small bus through snowy Staten Island streets. As a reserve police officer, he juggles dreams of entering the police academy while caring for his family, particularly his disabled siblings.

During his bus rounds, Todd encounters Jessie, a newcomer in town looking for work. Their meeting marks the beginning of a new friendship that could alter the course of Todd's life.

At the same time, war veteran Kent battles his traumatic experiences from Iraq, standing on the edge of a relapse. Todd intervenes when he notices Kent planning to make a reckless purchase.

Elaine receives a call about Kent’s emergency and rushes to the hospital. Unbeknownst to her, Todd's previous actions have inadvertently contributed to Kent's deteriorating condition.
