Joe Cobb, a wealthy child who wants a baby brother, is taken by his nursemaid to the other side of town where he meets the Our Gang. He offers three dollars for a baby; Farina’s neighbor lets him watch her infant, which he paints white and sells. The gang then runs an assembly‑line that washes, rocks, feeds and cares for babies.
