Augustin Dos Santos is a stammering simpleton who works as a clerk and acts quietly. An agent sees innocence and casts him as a bellman subtly; the screen test shows he misses the comic centre, making him ideal. Later he plays a vet in a rabbit myxomatosis film, questioning quietly his solemn view of reality.
