Shot with striking immediacy through a subjective camera, the film follows a Black actor in Germany who endures racist harassment while rehearsing a stage version of Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s 1974 drama about an older German woman’s taboo romance with an Arab man. It reunites lead actress Brigitte Mira, cinematographer Jürgen Jürges and editor Thea Eymèsz from the original, creating a powerful double‑take that indicts German prejudice.
