Angelo My Love explores the little‑understood world of New York Roma, casting real Romanis as fictionalized versions of themselves. The film follows street‑wise twelve‑year‑old Angelo Evans, son of a fortune‑teller, who accuses Steve “Patalay” Tsigonoff and his foul‑mouthed wife of stealing an ancestral ring. He pursues them to Canada to retrieve the ring for his future bride, Patricia, risking family honor. Interwoven are authentic music, a wedding, and a “kris” Romani court, offering a spontaneous, exuberant glimpse of urban Romani life.
