During the devastating Great Tokyo Air Raid of March 1945, Machiko Ujiie and Haruki Atomiya encounter each other on Ginza’s historic Sukiyabashi Bridge and instantly fall in love. They vow to reunite at the same spot six months later, yet they part without ever learning each other’s names, leaving their promise hanging amid the chaos of war.
