Pablo, a twenty‑year‑old aspiring musician, seeks his mother’s approval and a male lover. After a brief relationship ends due to his demanding nature, he auditions for the Youth Spain National Orchestra as a French horn player, only to discover the examiner is his estranged father, who disapproves of his sexuality. Depressed by the failure, he shelters a fellow horn player from Valencia and wakes to find a girl named Salome in his bed.
