This documentary explores the controversy surrounding the character of Apu Nahasapeemapetilon from the television show The Simpsons and the broader conversation about representation of South Asians in media. It challenges the increasing tendency to focus on perceived victimhood within the South Asian community, arguing for a renewed sense of pride and dominance in all endeavors, echoing the values instilled by previous generations who successfully immigrated and built lives for themselves. The film advocates for reclaiming cultural identity and moving beyond complaints about minor representations.
