Nazi physician Josef Mengele, notorious as the “Death Angel of Auschwitz” who murdered more than 300,000 people, resurfaces from his Argentine hideout as an 87‑year‑old to face trial in Germany. Young solicitor Peter Rohm, tasked with defending him, is also a scholar of Mengele’s crimes and feels morally conflicted. Accepting the case threatens his marriage and puts both his and his wife’s lives at risk.
