Young Billy Batson joins a Siam expedition where wizard Shazam gives him the power to become Captain Marvel, warning the abilities last only while the Golden Scorpion idol is threatened. Scientists deem the idol the world’s most powerful weapon and split its five energizing lenses among themselves. Back in the US, Captain Marvel battles the hooded Scorpion, who seeks all lenses to command the idol’s power.
