When the doctor brings home a large sum of cash, a gang of thieves follows him and later invades his house, taking his wife and daughter hostage. One of the thieves, whose sweetheart has rejected him, is informed of the crime by her; she then alerts the doctor, allowing him to outwit the burglars and save his family.
