In this biblical drama directed by Bob McNaught, King Saul grows envious of David’s fame after the young shepherd’s defeat of Goliath and his victories for Israel. Manipulated by his Edomite advisor Doeg, Saul schemes to eliminate David. Yet Saul’s son Jonathan, also David’s close friend, secretly aids him, while David wrestles with the dilemma of opposing his own people.
